Business News

St. Anthony Central Among Best Hospitals
The Denver Business Journal recently report Saint Anthony Central Hospital was recognized as one of the country’s top teaching hospitals.

The hospital was mentioned in the fifth edition of Tomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals. The study rated hospitals on eight factors including patient mortality, medical complications, patient safety, length of stay, expense, profitability, cash-to-debt ratio and use of evidence-based medicine.

Researchers evaluated 2,867 short-term, acute care, non-federal hospitals grouped into five categories: major teaching hospitals, other teaching hospitals, large community hospitals, medium-sized community hospitals and small community hospitals.

Saint Anthony, which is owned by Denver-based Catholic Health Initiatives and managed by Centura Health, will begin moving from Denver to a 25-acre parcel in Lakewood Federal Center in the spring of 2010.
