Lakewood Economic Development
is dedicated to sustaining a strong economic base while maintaining quality of life and the vitality of our community. We strive to create and build an environment that preserves, attracts and promotes business growth in Lakewood, Colorado. The City of Lakewood is just minutes from Denver, along the west edge of the metro area against the foothills of the majestic Rocky Mountains.
Lakewood Economic Development works as an advocate and information resource for businesses. Our mission is to retain existing employers and jobs, and recruit new employers who provide our community with quality employment.
We have compiled our most frequently requested demographic information - statistics on population growth & trends, median age, income & race - and provide that information in our City of Lakewood Community Demographics.
We strive to be an active participant in the west Denver business community and business associations, as well as provide technical assistance with special projects.
